Add to Alexa via Matter

1. Check to make sure your Amazon Hub is compatible (click here to check)

    • Eg: Echo Dot (5th Gen), Echo Dot (5th Gen) with clock, Echo (4th Gen), Echo Dot (3rd Gen, 2018 release), Echo Studio, Echo Show 8 (2nd Gen, 2021 release), Echo Show 10 (3rd Gen), Echo Show 5 (2nd Gen, 2021 release), Echo Show 15, Echo Dot (Gen 3 with Clock), Echo Dot (Gen 4 with Clock), Echo Show 5, Echo (v3), Echo Dot Gen 4, Echo Input, Echo Flex, Echo Show 8, Echo Plus (V2), Echo Dot (V2), Echo V2, Echo Pop, and Echo Show 5 (Gen 3).

2. Put SONOFF’s Matter-enabled device into pairing mode

(1)The device enters the pairing mode by default when powered on for the first time, and the LED indicator flashes two short and one long.
(2) For non-first use, press and hold the pairing button for about 5 seconds until the LED indicator flashes two short and one long to enter the pairing mode.

3. Open the Alexa App and follow these steps

2. Put SONOFF’s Matter-enabled device into pairing mode

(1)The device enters the pairing mode by default when powered on for the first time, and the LED indicator flashes two short and one long.

Troubleshooting

(1) Check if your Matter Hub is updated with the latest available firmware.

(2) Check whether SONOFF’s Matter-enabled device firmware is available, otherwise please update the firmware, it is recommended to update to the latest available firmware.

(3) Check whether your smart home application is available, otherwise please update, it is recommended to update to the latest version.

(4) Ensure that the phone and Matter hub is connected to the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and that there is a connection to this network during the process of adding Matter devices.

(5) Check whether SONOFF’s Matter-enabled devices have timed out of the pairing mode. The LED indicator of the device is flashing two shorts and one long in pairing mode. If it is not, please press and hold the device pairing button for 5s to enter the pairing mode.

(6) Restart the phone and clear the cache of smart home applications.

(7) Reset SONOFF’s Matter-enabled devices to factory settings and try again.

(8)Integration into another ecosystem needs to be completed within the effective time of the matter setup code:
      In Alexa, setup codes are valid for 15 minutes.
      In Google Home, setup codes are valid for 3 minutes.
      In Apple Home, the setup code is valid for 5 minutes.

(9) When integrating into another ecosystem, the Matter setting code can only be used once: If this setting code is used and successfully added to another ecosystem, a new Matter setting code needs to be regenerated when added to another ecosystem
