How to Use the Web Shortcut Function

Getting started with the Web Shortcut Function is straightforward. Follow these steps to set up and maximize this feature:

Auto-Discover LAN Services

  1. Ensure your NSPanel Pro is connected to the same network as your LAN devices ( Home Assistant, or iHost CAST ).
  2. After upgrading NSPanel Pro to the latest version 3.7.0, you will find ‘Discovered Available service…’ on the top of your NSPanel Pro screen. Click it and then NSPanel Pro will scan your network and display available services, such as Home Assistant or iHost CAST. You can also manually enter links of other local network services by clicking ‘Add Manually’.
  3. After discovering your Home Assistant, click ‘Add’, and you can edit the name of your LAN service, then click ‘Save’.
  4. Then you can access your Home Assistant dashboard on the screen with one tap.

Add Your Favorite Webpages

Via NSPanel Pro

  1. Click the ‘Web Shortcut’ section on your NSPanel Pro. Then click the search icon at the right corner of the screen.
  2. It will scan for your iHost CAST and Home Assistant. You can click ‘Add Manually’ at the right corner of the screen. Enter the URL of the webpage you want to pin.
