How to Control Your SONOFF Devices on the Car Screen?

Since Michele got a new car, he found it a very good method to interact with smartphone via the car screen that is installed on the dashboard, and able to use some apps in the smartphone via Android Auto.

By searching the internet, he found a third-party app that allows slightly more complete interaction with the smartphone, allowing you to install apps on Android Auto that we would otherwise not be able to use, such as youtube, iptv, and other apps with which we can, for example, play the videos we have in memory.

But one of the most interesting things is the possibility of installing apps, called Custom App, where you can insert a link to a web page to be able to view it on the screen of your car. Michele entered the Amazon Video link and he can see the movies in his car. Then he got an idea: since eWeLink can also be used on the web, why not insert the link of the eWeLink Web page in one of these apps to be able to use it in my car? And so he did, and the results were great.?

Get Started

The app mentioned is called AASTORE. It’s not on the Google playstore but you have to search for it on the web. The developer has made it available on the GitHub.com site, it is free and easy to use.
Let’s now see how to proceed with the installation.

First, you need to download the AASTORE app: just search it in a search engine and you will immediately find the site where it is hosted.

Now, download the app on our smartphone.

Once downloaded, the app looks like this:

As you can see, this app contains other applications that you can download on your smartphone, but what we need is the Custom App mentioned earlier.
So let’s download one of the 10 Custom Apps available:

Once the Custom App has been downloaded, insert the eWeLink Web link: clicking ‘OPEN’ to open a window where the link must be inserted.

At this point, you need to go to your internet browser and search for eWeLink Web, copy and paste the address of the login page or, alternatively, manually enter the address to log in:
https://web.ewelink.cc/#/login

At this point, the eWeLink Web page address has been added to the chosen Custom App.
ATTENTION: once the web address has been entered, it will no longer be possible to change it.

Now let’s open the Custom App where we have entered the eWeLink Web address and click on the line where the address is shown to us, and the login page will open where we will enter our eWeLink access data. Our eWeLink Web personal page will then open.

Once this is done, the configuration of the Custom App is finished and you can then use eWeLink on your car.
Once your smartphone is connected via cable, Android Auto starts up to your car and you can immediately see the new apps available:?

Now by clicking on the Custom App in which we have inserted the eWeLink Web link, we can enter personal page and interact with our SONOFF devices. In the tests Michele have done, he said that all the devices he have installed are available and can be used without problems. It is also possible to see the images taken by the GK-200MP2-B camera.
