We are going to discover together the RGBIC Smart LED Strip Lights – L3 Pro from SONOFF. We would like to thank them for providing us with this material.

Box Contents:
A standard USB cable and a USB-C cable.
A connection box.
A 5-meter roll of RGB LED lights.
A brief guide for initial setup.

1. Getting Started
1.1 Installation of the L3 Pro
Box on the side of the LED strip

LED strip connector
We just need to connect the LED strip in the box

LED strip is connected

Ready to run

1.2 First Connection
Connecting the USB-C cable on the box side. The box and the LED strip start flashing in blue.

In Flashing Mode

1.3 Installing the eWeLink to Manage L3 Pro
We go to Apple Store for iOS or Google Play for Android.
In the Apple Store:

Log in to our eWeLink account.
If you don’t have one, you can register one.

Click on “Add”, then click on “Bluetooth Pairing”. The pairing will be done by itself after clicking on “Next”. Choose a room and click on “Done”.

Click on the 3 small dots at the top left. Go to “WiFi Settings”, and click on “Press here to connect WiFi”. We enter our SSID and WiFi password, and click on “Save”.

And now the LED Strip is connected to our WiFi and we can play with it.

The LED strip is waterproof, only the connection part must be protected, I installed it in a junction box and the strip sits on my terrace.
2. Integration on Jeedom
To communicate with the LED strip on Jeedom needs a plugin. eWeJee we go to the management of plugins then on the market and finally, we install the eWeJee plugin.
Configure your eWeJee account and save
Go to “Plugins>Connected Objects>eWeJee

Click on “Synchronize Cloud”

Your LED strip appears.
You can play with it now. We cannot yet retrieve RGBIC animations natively via the plugin, because the API does not allow it for the moment.

2.1 Scenario Example
In this scenario, we turn on the LED at sunset (via our conductor) and turn it off 3 hours after the start of it via the time _op function (for more php function example)

2.2 Using RGBIC Scenes
RGBIC animations not working, you have to cheat a bit by going through the scenes in eWeLink via Alexa.
First, we create a scene with the ‘ + ‘

We choose the action, touch to perform
We add the smart device action in ‘Then’

Then, we select the material.
In our case, we want the LED to light up and do the RGBIC magic advancement animation.
Click ‘Save’.

Let’s look at Alexa automatically detects the scene.

Now we go to Alexa API on Jeedom and launch a scan.

Once the scan is complete, then we go to Alexa Smart Home and then to Scenes. You will see your scene listed.

From there, you can trigger the scene via any scenario or virtual.

It’s over here.
